Sagar Raj Sharma

Dr Sagar Sharma is Director, Himalayan Centre for Asian Studies (HiCAS), and Professor Development Economics, School of Arts, Kathmandu University. He holds a PhD in Development Economics from Fukuoka University, Japan. Sagar has worked extensively in fields including: foreign aid and development; land reform in Nepal; migration and development; and human development and ethics. He has worked in both the development and academic sectors, and has published widely on post-conflict state building, land reform and land access.
